Method
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil and cook frozen ravioli according to the package directions
- Drain and set raviolis aside
- Preheat your oven to 375°F
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook 1 pound of Italian sausage until fully browned and no pink remains.
- Add 1 tablespoon of minced garlic and season with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes
- Stir well to combine
- Drain the grease from the sausage and set aside sausage
- Using the same pan, melt down 1 tablespoon of salted butter over low to medium heat. Once melted, add 1 tablespoon of minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant
- Pour in 2 cups of heavy whipping cream and stir well
- Season with crushed red pepper, oregano, garlic powder, onion powder and black pepper
- Reduce the heat to low and slowly stir in 1 cup of parmesan cheese and 1 cup of mozzarella cheese until the sauce becomes think and creamy
- Roughly chop 1 cup of spinach and stir it into the Alfredo sauce
- Lightly grease a 9 x 13 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray
- Spread half of the Alfredo sauce on the bottom of the dish, then add a layer of cooked ravioli
- Top with the cooked Italian sausage, then add another layer of ravioli. Continue layering until baking dish is fully layered
- Pour the remaining Alfredo sauce over the top and finish with a generous handful of mozzarella cheese
- Cover baking dish with foil
- Bake at 375 for 30 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and lightly golden brown
- Let rest for 10 minutes before serving
Spray one side of a sheet of foil with nonstick cooking spray to prevent the cheese from sticking
